Crock Pot Pulled Pork Tacos

Categories: , , ,

This is my step mom's famous dish, but she's not answering her phone. So without a recipe, I'm winging it and let me just say there's passion fruit juice involved!

I know, riiiiiiight.

So many of you are going to need to mentally prepare like I did before you make this scrumptious meal. So let's get it over with an look at this meat.

Ingredients:
1) Meat: 2lb-3lb Pork Shoulder (gross name but it quality, swomise)
2) Liquids: 1 1/2 cup of water
3) : 1/2 cup of passion fruit juice
4) Veg: Half Red Onion & 1 Green Onion
5) Fruits: 1 apple (any kind but I like Fuji)
6) Spices: Garlic Salt, Pepper, & Cayenne Pepper

To Do List
Step 1: Put pork in crock pot
Step 2: Add spices on top of pork
Step 3: Pour water around
Step 4: Add Onions
Let cook on high 2 hours
After 2 hours, put it on low for the remaining time...maybe about 3 hours...depending.

That's 5 hours folks so make sure you start early if you want dinner before midnight.

Falling Right Off That Bone

Step 5: Once it's fully cooked take 2 forks and shred that pork! Get the fat out of there because it ruins a bite for sure.

Step 6: Get some tortillas, thinly slice those apples to add to taco along with onions, cheese, & cilantro.

Option: If you like tomatos, buy a can of premixed dixced tomatos, onion, garlic, and whatever else is in there. It's great for a salsa if you don't have time to make your own.

ALERT: MY STEPMOM JUST CALLED SHE SAYS SHE JUST PUTS THE PORK IN WITH NOT EVEN WATER! It cooks in it's own juices!!!!

I'm trying that next for pulled pork & homemade bbq sauce...stay tuned!
